
E280 Sports Edition adds popular options for $3500 less - an $11K saving, says Benz
WITH an all-new E-class due to emerge in three months at the Paris motor show, Mercedes-Benz has released a Sports Edition version of E280 petrol and diesel sedan and wagon range that comes with the most popular options and a $3500 price reduction, which is claimed to represent a saving of more than $11,000.
Available nationally from now until August 31 or when stocks runs out, the Sports Edition E280 Saloon ($98,000) and Estate ($104,000) and Sports Edition E280 CDI Saloon ($100,000) and Estate ($106,000) feature the 7G-Tronic seven-speed automatic transmission as standard.
All four Sports Edition E280s come with lowered sports suspension, dual chrome exhaust outlets, 18-inch alloy wheels, metallic paint, an electric glass sunroof, a COMAND APS stereo system with MP3 playback and satellite-navigation, double-stitched sports seats and steering wheel shift paddles.
